You are the chosen one of the deity of love, family and motherhood, dispensing blessings in her name.

But you’re hardly blessed yourself. Your love life ended with the death of your first husband, the church overworks you and you’re not sure why your deity chose you in the first place.

The spring festival approaches, and with it a worrying ultimatum: the church wants you happily married; whether you want it or not.

A few volunteers offer themselves: your devoted paladin Bryn, who asks not for love but only for the chance to serve you. The stern priest Kyros, who flusters and bristles at your every word. The local duchess Eira, whose relationship to your church is strange and complex but who treats you with unexpected warmth.

Can you find love with one -or more- of them? Will you marry for love or duty, or find a way to avoid marriage entirely?

Saint Ceri is a visual novel with a focus on romance and NSFW content. It offers both monogamous and poly routes with three love interests and is generally centered around soft femdom and the female gaze.

This game is now fully released!

It contains:

  • 120k words
  • 11 endings (2 solo per LI, 4 poly, one platonic)
  • 28 CGs

The game is intended for a mature audience and heavily features nudity and sexual content. All depicted characters are adults and all of the sex is consensual.

The overall story has the following warnings:

  • Frequent mentions of religion, blasphemy

The sexual content contains:

  • Soft femdom (the protagonist dominating male LIs and being dominated by a female LI)

Saint Ceri takes place in the same setting as my previous game:

I bought the game in the Halloween bundle, is there any way to get the booklet without buying the game again?

Hi! Email me at manekimushidev@gmail.com using the same email you used to buy the game, and I can send a copy of the booklet!

Thank you so much 🥺 I’ve sent an email!

just bought the game and booklet! excited to get into it when i have the time.

wow. finally finished the game and i have to say, kyros is still my favourite. actually, he's one of my favourite ROs out of all VNs i've played. his ending 1 is a gift. he's pretty much everything i like in an RO xD

// minor spoilers //

i did encounter some bugs in my gameplay. the first one is that i was unable to get the option to choose bryn if i've romanced him and eira (or him, eira, and kyros) simultaneously. another is that after triggering the scene for eira dumping ceri (after telling eira that i want to be poly with all three, bryn that i want to be poly with just him and eira, and kyros that i want only him), i automatically got eira's ending 1. also, the cgis for the nsfw kyros and bryn ending, as well as the nsfw bryn and eira ending are glitched out (not in the gallery, just in the game).

Such a beautiful game, I love all of the characters so much!!! And it's such a unique setting <3. I'm living my best life in a poly route, but still excited to see all the other ends!! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing game with us!

Hello, I hope you are well!

I recently completed the game and have some notes that you may want to address in a new update. Sorry I can't be more specific in the list, I didn't think to include what scenes they were part of until now, as I write this!  (Duh, what an oversight on my part)

I think I was playing v1.01, instead of the initial release, if that helps any.

In a one-on-one conversation with Kyros, its ends like this:

"He gives a final nod before leaving your room.

Once alone you remove your dress and hang it carefully, then don your church clothing once more.

He bears a small smile and a blush when wishing you a good evening."

When everyone comes together to plan the festival:

"Conversation is lively as you eat; your companions discuss their plants for the festival." Erm, plants? You meant plans, I'm guessing?

I found a possible contradiction against your notebook with Bryn:

In the notebook, Bryn goes with the priests to find Ceri and he's already chosen as her paladin. Yet here;

"Then Kyros and come priets left on some strange, secret mission, and they returned with you.

A smile stretches his lips.

Then I was chose to be your paladin. You saved me."

You need a space here:

I-I don't want to disappoint you. I just- the church has feelingsregarding pre-marital sex, and I-"

In one of Kyros' endings, he suddenly wears clothing and then loses them again on the next;

"But that didn't happen. So let's not dwell on it."

Another typo for one of Kyros' endings:

I"'m just getting started."

Another typo from Kyros, but I don't remember the scene (I THINK it's after their argument and they go talk to Ceri?)

"I see".

Despite the above list, the game was beautifully done! It was wonderful to see a more feminine touch on sexuality, thank you very much for making it! I was also a fan of the Hero's Journey so clearly you have a knack for storytelling! I wish you all the best for any and all games you make after this!

another typo in that same kyros ending (the marriage one): "he gasps when you lower himself on his cock"

I've just purchased your game on Steam and have a question if I should just return it and buy it here on itch.io because, well, more money goes to you due to Steam's taking of like 30% :D

Whatever you prefer is fine! I'm not too bothered about the money, if you'd like to help me out (which I super appreciate!) consider leaving a review on Steam! Reviews are pretty hard to get and Steam only starts giving games real visibility once we reach 10 positive reviews :')

ofc, will do <3 I'll also probably create a post on r/otomegame or r/indieotome to kinda promote the game :) (but tbh you doing it would be a better idea because I probably won't do it justice XD)

it's in my to-do list to post in the self promo threads on those subreddits this weekend :) But word of mouth really helps too! I've gotten a lot of new players from other people's posts on reddit so it's always appreciated!

Btw I don't think you only need to post in the self-promo threads if it's for a release day post, I think you're allowed to make your own post for that. You might need to double check the rules though.

Hey, I just purchased this for Mac. I have Catalina and when I try to run the game it says that the file is damaged. "The app has been modified, and its code does not match the original signed code. The app may be broken or corrupted, or it may have been tampered with." Do you have any idea how to fix this? I've never seen this before. Thanks!

Not sure if this will help in this particular situation - in my experience that error code covers a LOT of things - but if you bought the game on Steam, you should be able to verify the integrity of the files:

Right Click on the game in your Library > Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files

If your issue is being caused by a file getting damaged/corrupted during the downloading process, this should fix it.

(+1)

I'm having the same problem as a Mac user running Sonoma 14.6-- "'Saint Ceri ' is damaged and can't be opened." I purchased this game through itch since I know Steam can be funny about 18+ games, but this is something I've never seen from a game through this site before.

(+1)

Hi! This is a fix I found for this issue (which I can't fix on my end unfortunately) : https://www.howtogeek.com/803598/app-is-damaged-and-cant-be-opened/

If this doesn't work, you can email me at manekimushidev@gmail.com (just use the same email address your itch.io account uses, so I'll know you bought the game) and I can give you a Steam key! This error probably won't occur on Steam (I hope).

(+1)

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that the fix does work, with a caveat--anyone attempting this fix MUST put a space after they c+p the necessary bit of code (up until 'quarantine') before dragging the game into the terminal screen and hitting enter. If you don't put in a space, you will get lots of feedback and it won't work. When done correctly, it'll be just as the link says; no feedback and you'll be able to open the game. Now to wait until after work and chores to play...

(+1)

Thank you for all the help! I fixed it by using a command to disable gatekeeper. Then I redownloaded the file and it opened just fine. To enable gatekeeper again I believe you enter the same code but put "enable" at the end instead. Below is what I found in this reddit post (https://reddit.com/r/osx/comments/9mf4au/installing_apps_from_unidentifiedunsign...):

This is due to MacOS' Gate keeper.

You can disable it by doing the following:

  1. Open Terminal
  2. Paste : sudo spctl --master-disable

I hope this was helpful to others having issues.

Question: will the booklet be available on steam eventually? 👀

(+1)

I think I just released it? Steam's interface is a bit complicated so I'm not sure haha. But it's shown as released on my end, hopefully players can see it too!

(+1)

Oh alright sorry to bother you!

I'm really excited to finally play this! And congrats for another great game released! ❤️

(+3)

Is there a way to hide the text box during gameplay? I'd like to admire the art in it's full glory!

(+4)

im super excited for the full release of this game! i'm not one of those who plays demos, so i've been patiently waiting for this, and the wait is over soon!! loove the other games maneki-mushi's got, so i will throw every last penny i have for this one

(+16)

FINALLY a romantic VN with explicit femdom and shy LIs, I've been praying for times like these 🙏🛐

I loved the teasing and sort of forbidden situation due to a specific moral education, and how the MC didn't hesitate to voice her wants or complaints whenever necessary. I particularly enjoyed Kyros' preview because dynamics where the female character is more experienced than the male character are SO uncommon! I firmly believe we need more LIs who blush and stutter while being intimate instead of randomly going ooc and turning into DomDaddy3000 🫡.

Romance aside I also found Ceri really interesting as a MC, I hope we get to see more of her past and personal hardships due to class differences. I think she has the potential to be a complex and layered character with the ability to bring some societal changes :)

(+4)

I love this sm. otome game with real NSFW scene. Can't wait for the full game

(+5)(-1)

This was a very well done mature poly friendly !!Femdom!! demo with sex scenes that were actually worth reading. Bonus points for mutual masturbation being a sex scene, so many stories are like "intercourse or bust" even if it makes no sense in a medieval world to be that casual about it.  At first I was all over corrupting Kyros the priest, but Byrn the Paladin is a sweet submissive accepting guy who just wants Ceri's happiness and it's hard not to get a little softhearted for him. I'm quite pleased to see the description implies I can have all three of them, or just the two boys. And it's believable the priest would struggle with the concept of polyamory a bit. This was carefully written and lovely. I would definitely buy and play on release and I'm spreading the word. :)

(+3)

I'm so glad you noticed all those things haha :') The full game will definitely have more sex scenes that aren't just PiV, especially in Kyros's scenes!
You can indeed romance all three characters or just two, all poly combinations will be possible and have their own ending!
Thank you so much for enjoying the demo and sharing your thoughts <3

(+3)(-1)

downloaded the extended demo today and i've been going over it back and forth in pure enjoyment! it's excellently written, i love the idea of a cynical religious icon in general, but especially that she can seduce pious LIs. currently missing the two CGs on the bottom but i'll figure it out! super excited for the full release! <3

(+1)

I’m glad you’re enjoying it!

I think those CGs must be the SFW alt versions of the adult scenes? So unfortunately there's nothing very exciting to figure out, they'll get unlocked by just setting the game to SFW mode and replaying those scenes :') I'm considering presenting the gallery in a different way to avoid this kind of confusion!

(+8)

Just finished the demo and I am hooked. You are filling a niche and in an extremely talented way! Cant tell you how many VNs I scrolled past in the adult section trying to find just one with a female protag and male love interests. The female love interest and the option for poly relationships........ icing on top of the cake. The characters are enticing and loveable and I can't wait to get to know them more<3

(+4)

thank you so much! I also really wish there were more visual novels in that niche, so I'm trying to do my part and contribute haha. I'm glad you're loving the characters!

(+7)

Just like Hero's Journey, i'll buy the full version of this game <3 <3 <3 more innocent malesss yayyyy!!

(+4)

haha every game I make will always have at least one <3

(+10)

the kyros nsfw scene had my head spinning 😵‍💫😵‍💫 i was hesitating between bryn and kyros but that settled it.. this is filling a niche some of us sorely needed!! i can't wait for the release.. we really do need more otome games with femdom and innocent male leads 😭😭

(+7)

Ah I'm glad you liked it! I'm also hungry for that sort of content so I'm trying to do my part to bring some more into the world :')

(+5)

Congrats on the new game. I can't wait to get back into the world of Hero's Journey.

The protagonist is great and I like how she has her own history and baggage. Also, the boys are really adorable I really want to learn more about them.

(+5)

I'm so glad you liked it!
They'll both start unveiling a bit of their backstories and more sides of themselves in the content I'm planning for the extended demo :)

(+2)

Very excited! Loved the Hero’s Journey and intrigued by the characters in the demo :)

(+2)

I'm glad you're interested in the characters! Everyone will get a bit more backstory/time to shine in the extended demo :)

(+2)

ooo so excited! absolutely loved hero's journey

(+1)

I hope you'll enjoy Saint Ceri too :)

(+2)

Wow, i'm so in love with Hero's Journey, is a wonderfull game... Saint Ceri looks good too! And more!

(+1)

Thank you!

(+2)

loving this already! congrats on the release and can't wait for more 🍒<3

(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :)

(+5)

Ahhhhhhhhh!!! I hate that I played the demo now, I told myself to not play any wips, which I did with the hero's journey, but with how much I loved that game I couldn't wait to play another game from the same author.

Allow me to say that even if short, this demo has done an excellent job at hooking me up, I really love your approach to all of these themes, it reminds me a lot of my own broke, kind of traditional small town upbringing, so definitely something relatable in that end.

As always the artstyle is great, very unique, and in a way I can't explain simply works great with the setting and writing style. It just fits bro. (And for some reason it reminds me of tolkien???)

But anyway, very intrigued as to where this game will go and waiting for more content!!

(+1)

I'm the same, I get too excited/frustrated playing wips :) I'm really happy to hear you liked THJ and this demo!
I actually haven't read LotR but a friend has told me they can see the comparison because Tolkien likes to write about the mundane aspects of travel/meals and the like? I do really love that stuff, as can be seen with the bath scene haha.
Thank you for commenting!
